A Transcription of On the God of Socrates

I have transcribed and typeset Thomas Taylor's translation of Apuleius's On the God of Socrates, in case anybody (like me) prefers to read such things printed. You can find it in US Letter and A4 paper sizes. (Presently it simply uses the default LaTeX styling with microtypographical extensions, but I may go back over it and make it a little more exotic someday.)

I'll probably be doing this with other works as time goes on. You'll be able to find them collected here as I do so. As always, these are in the public domain: all I ask is that, if you find any typos or mistakes, that you please let me know about them so that I might correct them!

You're welcome! I've gotten quite a bit of use from my old workhorse laser printer, and indeed when I moved across the country, it was one of the few belongings I made space for in my car!

Thank you for all the work you've put into this! I've downloaded so many bad versions of these old useful texts and they're almost unilaterally badly formatted. This warms my mimeograph alter ego too as this is the kind of thing I have in mind with shorter works... :)

That was my frustration, as well. I figure, hey, I'm an excellent typist and I know how to use LaTeX, so perhaps I can put those to use! Anyway, if something is worth reading, it's worth rereading, so the second pass for copyediting isn't so bad.

I don't know anything about mimeography (Wikipedia, as usual, is less than helpful), but if there's any way I can help make the texts I transcribe more useful to you, please let me know.

Thanks for that offer! I'm still stuck on the pre-printing process so it'll be a while. Once I figure a few things out and see what I can actually do with mimeo, I'll have a better idea of what I'll focus on and what my size limits are. Someday I'll get there :)
