sdi: Oil painting of the Heliconian Muse whispering inspiration to Hesiod. (Default)

After recalling an old episode I had forgotten, I thought I might look over my old diaries again to see what else I might have missed. Goodness! I don't recognize the person who wrote any of this, at all, at all. I guess that Saturn return was far harsher than I thought it was: rightly is it said that He devours His children.

It seems I used to write rather a lot of poetry. I humbly offer these three up for the pertinent lessons they contain:

27 Apr 2011
this potato
soon to be eaten
sprouts anyway
28 Apr 2011
every moment
start again
4 Sep 2011
the only thing
required to move mountains
is patience

Here are a couple other poems I found in my diary that others may appreciate. (They both appear to be actual things I witnessed.)

30 Apr 2011
"dirty creature!" she cries,
as the squirrel
washes its face
22 Feb 2012
"preserve nature!"
the sign says—
nailed to the trunk of a tree
