Pondering the Fourth Triplicity

It should probably have been obvious to me sooner, but it's striking that the parent houses of the fourth triplicity—the seventh and eighth—are the mirror of the parent houses of the first triplicity. The daughter houses—the ninth and the twelfth—are therefore also mirrors of a sort! This was a surprise to me, as I think of the ninth as the mirror of the third, and the twelfth as the mirror of the sixth, but consider: if the ninth is everything I can attain with the resources at hand, then the twelfth is everything the rest of the world can attain with their resources: that is to say, societal institutions, the things that somebody (but not you) knows, wild animals and the wilderness, hindrances generally, etc.

So where the first triplicity is "me" and "mine", the fourth triplicity is "you" and "yours" (in both it's singular and plural senses). The first triplicity is that which I carry; the fourth, everything beyond my reach.

Another thing that surprised me: I had been thinking of secret things going in the twelfth house... but I'm no longer sure that's so. The secrets an individual keeps would go in their second house, as it's a closely-held possession of theirs. In the generic case (e.g. a stranger, or society generally), that person or group of people would go in the seventh house, and their secrets, the eighth. I think the twelfth, rather, isn't about intentionally-kept secrets so much as it is about your blind-spots.
