On Fickleness

Greer describes Puella as ambivalent and fickle, but I think this is a mistake. Puella is a (slightly) fixed figure, and therefore relatively slow to change. Rather, I think it is the mobile figure of Venus, Amissio, that can be described as fickle: without earth to anchor her, she is prone to going wherever the wind she so desires takes her.
