So let me see if I've got this straight.

There's three ways in which something can be made:
  1. It can be constructed, like a weaver makes cloth.
  2. It can be born, like a woman gives birth to a child.
  3. It can be a byproduct, like sun gives off light.
The world cannot be constructed, since the Gods would have to construct it out of something, and there is nothing but the Gods to make it out of. The world cannot be born, since like produces like, and since the Gods are immaterial and perfect, they can't give birth to something material and imperfect. Therefore, by process of elimination, the world must be a byproduct of the Gods.

This has the corollary that the world is eternal, since the Gods are eternal and can't help but to produce the world.
