Fortuna Major

The last few weeks have been very difficult for me, but I have been consistently reminded of a line from the Aeneid (book 6, line 95):

tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito,
qua tua te Fortuna sinet. uia prima salutis
(quod minime reris) Graia pandetur ab urbe.

Do not give in to your troubles; but, Fortune allowing, meet them all the more boldly. Though you least expect it, the way to safety leads first through your enemies.

Or the first line, in a form more easily remembered as an aphorism:

Yield not to woe, but boldly go
 to challenge it—should Luck permit!
