I agree with that.

In fact, Manly P. Hall makes the very similar point that this is, in fact, the difference between Platonism (idealism) and Aristotelianism (realism). Platonism sees Aristotelianism as lacking soul. Aristotelianism sees Platonism as lacking brains. His take is that both are necessary—Platonism without reason is woo woo, and Aristotelianism without love is... well, look around—and this is, in fact, the genius of Ammonius Saccas and his successors.
