Interesting...East Coaster here, myself, and I think you could be on to something.

There are a variety of stories about what became of Saturn after the Titanomachy, but I believe one of them is that he was exiled to the remote West, perhaps to the Hesperides. Now, New York does have a considerable apple culture...
